Jardiance 10 mg is an anti-diabetic medication (SGLT2 inhibitor). Jardiance generic is recommended for type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone are unable to regulate blood sugar levels. Type 2 diabetes is a condition in which the body does not produce enough insulin or the insulin produced does not function correctly. Jardiance works by inhibiting a protein in your kidneys called SGLT2. This causes blood sugar (glucose) to be removed from your urine, decreasing the amount of sugar in your blood. It also prevents your heart from weakening and alleviates your symptoms. The active ingredient in jardiance medication is empagliflozin.
