It is also used to treat persistent herpes skin infections in HIV-positive individuals. Famtrex 250mg is used to treat reoccurring cold sores and to cure or suppress recurring genital herpes in people with impaired immune systems. Famtrex 250 is manufactured by Cipla Ltd.
