Ciprofloxacin 500mg (Ciplox 500)

What is ciprofloxacin 500mg?

Ciprofloxacin 500mg is used to treat or prevent bacterial illnesses such as pneumonia, gonorrhea, typhoid fever, infectious diarrhea, and skin, bone, joint, abdominal (stomach region), and prostate infections. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg is also used to treat and prevent plague and anthrax inhalation. Ciplox 500mg can also be used to treat bronchitis, sinus infections, and urinary tract infections, although it should not be used to treat bronchitis, sinus infections, or certain forms of urinary tract infections if better treatments are available. As instructed by your doctor, take this medication with or without meals twice a day (every 12 hours) in the morning and evening.

• Difficulty in breathing
• Skin yellowing

Warning:

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin or any other antibiotics before using it. Inactive ingredients in this product may cause allergic reactions or other complications. Ciplox 500 may occasionally cause significant blood sugar fluctuations, especially if you have diabetes. Follow the instructions for routine blood sugar checks, and inform your doctor of the results. Keep an eye out for signs of elevated blood sugar, such as increased thirst or urine. Ciprofloxacin may enhance the blood sugar-lowering effects of glyburide.
