What is ciprofloxacin 500mg?
Ciprofloxacin 500mg is used to treat or prevent bacterial illnesses such as pneumonia, gonorrhea, typhoid fever, infectious diarrhea, and skin, bone, joint, abdominal (stomach region), and prostate infections. Ciprofloxacin 500 mg is also used to treat and prevent plague and anthrax inhalation. Ciplox 500mg can also be used to treat bronchitis, sinus infections, and urinary tract infections, although it should not be used to treat bronchitis, sinus infections, or certain forms of urinary tract infections if better treatments are available. As instructed by your doctor, take this medication with or without meals twice a day (every 12 hours) in the morning and evening.

Keep an eye out for signs of elevated blood sugar, such as increased thirst or urine. Ciprofloxacin may enhance the blood sugar-lowering effects of glyburide.
